Statistical Process Control
Objective
This course aims to provide trainees with the following knowledge:
- Understanding of primary SPC concepts.
- Knowledge to use variable and attribute control charts.
- How to interpret the control chart patterns.
- The concept and methods to analyze process capability
Duration
This is a 7-hour course run over 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Introduction to SPC: Concepts and foundation of SPC
- Basic statistical concepts
- Mean, Mode, median, range and standard deviation
- Common causes and special causes
- Data Collection Strategy
- Rational Subgrouping methods
- Control Chart Analysis
Variable Control Chart
- Average and Range (X-bar R) chart
- Average and Std Dev (X-Bar S) chart
- Individual moving range X-MR chart
Process Capability Analysis
- Stability and capability concept
- Short term capability
- Long term capability
